Welcome to Camp Girl Gains, where fitness and fun collide! We are highlighting our recent fitness summit in our native city, San Diego. At Camp Girl Gains, we gathered together with like-minded individuals and members, ready to challenge ourselves, form lasting friendships, and enhance our fitness journeys. From our goal-setting introduction with Gaby Contreras, followed by an informative and motivating speech on stronglifting led by Brianna Alexander, and a weightlifting circuit-style workout led by Natilee Riordan, our event was a celebration of strength, empowerment, and personal growth. Not to mention the supportive energy that emanated the room from Camp Counselors and Campers combined—this was truly an event to remember!
Sunset Social
We kicked off the weekend with a VIP Sunset Social at Mvmt Warehouse! Campers were able to mingle over LMNT and EHPLabs mocktinis, Were Not Really Strangers card game, and a palm reader! Plus, our campers were the first to see the release of our new merch drop! (Coming soon). Everyone left with their workout set from our sponsor, Thick Athletics, to go into day 2 with. 💫
Intention Setting
Gaby Contreras, known for her dedication to personal growth, set the tone for the event with a guided intention setting. She encouraged attendees to reflect on their goals, both in fitness and in life, and challenged them to set an intention for the day. Gaby's passion for empowering women to become the best versions of themselves was evident in her words, igniting a fire within each attendee (which was also preceded by a Ring of Fire ginger shot from The Mad Beet Smoothie Bar)! 🔥

Stronglifting 101 by Brianna Alexander
One of the highlights of the fitness summit was Brianna Alexander's speech on stronglifting. As a certified stronglifting coach, Brianna shared her expertise and provided valuable insights on building strength and progressive overloading. She emphasized the importance of proper form and technique, ensuring that participants would not only increase their strength but also prevent injuries. She also touched on the importance of rest and training around your menstrual cycle! Brianna's presentation left everyone feeling empowered and ready to conquer the lifting workshop.
The Workout
Being hosted at Glute Lab, owned by Bret Contreras (inventor of the barbell hip thrust), we had to pay respect and start our workout off with hip thrusts! This was followed by a group weightlifting circuit where we stationed through both upper and lower body compound and accessory movements. No better way to end the workout than with a banded glute burnout, led by Glute Lab Group Personal Trainer, Natilee Riordan!
Networking and Community Building at the Summit
The Camp Girl Gains fitness summit was not just about the workout; it was also an environment for like-minded individuals to connect and build relationships. Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to network with fellow fitness enthusiasts, share their stories, and form lasting friendships. The supportive environment fostered a sense of belonging and camaraderie, creating a network of individuals who could rely on each other for motivation and support on their fitness journeys.
Self-Reflective Journal Prompts by Gaby
Gaby shared a series of self-reflective journal prompts during Camp Girl Gains. These prompts encouraged attendees to dive deep into their thoughts and aspirations, providing a space for introspection and self-discovery. Gaby's thought-provoking prompts allowed participants to explore their motivations, fears, and aspirations, helping them gain clarity and a sense of direction in their fitness journeys and beyond.
