GIRL GAINS MEMBER AGREEMENT
Mission
Our mission is to promote female weight lifting while empowering women to feel strong and beautiful in a judgment-free community.
Goals
We aim to build an inclusive and judgment-free support system where everybody is welcomed. We believe health should be accessible to everyone, which is why we invite women of all backgrounds to be a part of our family.
Membership Term and Fees
Chapter member terms are from January 1, 2025 - June 31, 2025. No refunds will be granted, as the Member explicitly agrees to these terms and conditions during checkout. Member acknowledges that all member dues are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Eligibility
Member dues are for students and university-approved individuals at the university or college of the respective Girl Gains Chapter. Girl Gains does not categorically deny membership to an individual based on race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, color, age, gender, gender identity, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or disability.
Waiver Requirement
Member understands and agrees that their membership is not effective, and they may not participate in any Girl Gains activities, until they have completed and signed the separate Girl Gains Waiver and Release of Liability form. Member acknowledges that maintaining a valid and current waiver is a continuing condition of membership.
Statement of Liability and Indemnification
National Girl Gains, the Girl Gains Chapters, or any Girl Gains members will not under any circumstances be liable for exemplary damages resulting from participation in Girl Gains activities, due to any cause, even if Girl Gains has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In any event, Girl Gains' total liability to Member for all damages (whether based on contract, tort, or other theories) will be limited to the amount Member actually paid for participation in Girl Gains activities.
Member agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Girl Gains, its chapters, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims, actions, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to Member's participation in Girl Gains activities or breach of this Agreement.
Code of Conduct
Member agrees to:
- Conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner
- Follow all Girl Gains policies and procedures
- Respect the rights and dignity of other members
- Not engage in any discriminatory, harassing, or disruptive behavior
- Maintain the confidentiality of other members' personal information
Termination
Girl Gains reserves the right to terminate or suspend membership, without refund, for violation of this Agreement or conduct deemed detrimental to the organization, at its sole discretion.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
Website Terms and Privacy Policy
Member acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to read, understand, and agree to Girl Gains' Website Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, which are available at https://girlgains.co/policies/terms-of-service and https://girlgains.co/policies/privacy-policy. Member understands that these documents are incorporated by reference into this Agreement and form a binding part of the membership terms. Member agrees to periodically review these documents for updates and changes.
Acknowledgment
By purchasing Member Dues, Member acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions of this Agreement.
