FAQ's
How much does it cost to start a Girl Gains Chapter?
There is no up front founding cost. All members pay membership dues on a season basis. The average dues for a full year in Girl Gains are ~ $50.
What does support look like after I start a Girl Gains Chapter?
- We provide extensive support for all of our Chapter leaders! You’ll have two direct mentors from National GG: the COO (Chief Operations Officer) and a Regional Chapter Lead (RCL), both of whom are former GG leaders from other campuses.
- The COO will be your primary point of contact for any questions as you lead your chapter.
- The RCL will regularly check in with you and help guide you in areas like team leadership, event planning, recruitment at your university, and more!
- Additionally, you'll be part of a Geneva group with other Presidents and executive leaders from different universities, where you can network, share ideas, and collaborate.
What information do I need before filling out the application?
- All applicants should review their university's requirements for starting a student-registered organization before beginning the application process. It's important to understand the university's banking procedures. Girl Gains chapters either manage their banking through the university's registered student organization office or an external bank, with the chapter operating under its name.
- All Girl Gains chapters manage their fundraising and chapter funds through their own bank accounts. Therefore, it is important to determine, before becoming an officially recognized Girl Gains chapter by Girl Gains LLC, whether obtaining a bank account is feasible.
